Objectives
The goal of this program is to provide an introductory framework for clinicians who want to interpret statistical tests of reliability and validity. After you study the information presented here, you will be able to —

  • Recognize the clinical utility of more common statistical values of reliability.
  • Differentiate changes in a measurement that represent true difference from that of error.
  • Understand the clinical utility, merits, and limitations of statistical values of validity.
