Activity Description
This course provides an overview of RTI and Workload Approach. The course includes guidance on how the school-based SLP can apply workload concepts to flexible scheduling, educationally-relevant IEPs and services, participation in RTI prevention services and service delivery that changes to meet the students’ needs.

Learner Objectives
Participants who complete this course will be able to:

  • Understand and explain RTI activities for prevention, intervention and identification
  • Understand and explain using a workload approach for flexible scheduling
  • Discuss how to use a workload approach to incorporate RTI activities into a schedule
  • Identify five action steps for implementing a workload approach
