Objectives
The goal of this program is to familiarize physical therapists with the pathogenesis and common movement disorders related to Parkinson’s disease (PD) and to familiarize them with the current research regarding PD and the efficacy of physical therapy.

After completing this module, you will be able to —

  • Explain the pathogenesis of PD
  • Identify common clinical manifestations/movement disorders in people with PD
  • Discuss tests and measures as well as treatment for patients with PD
